I have it on good authority that the Paisley number was worn at the Playboy Mansion, circa 1974.

Shep Miller ( plaid sportcoat) was an institution in the Hamptons
for decades- see paragraph three:

^ DAMN that is a fine jacket, looks like the leather has a magnificent hand! Talon hardware? Also: I thought you were closer to a size 40?

Correct on all counts, and the leather is more supple than most I have felt today. I am a 40, but dont forget, this was the 50s, fit was different back then. It fits a little big on me but with a sweater underneath, its perfect. inlove.gif

Whoa, that paisley velvet creation broke the Internets. I've never seen anything like it, definitely a jacket for drinking wine and romping around.

Battle of the paisley jackets. fight[1].gif

Untagged but certainly cashmere, made by Angelo Roma: tailor to 70's-era Bond. (http://thesuitsofjamesbond.com/?p=1494)

Ticket pocket and insane lining, matched inside of the pockets.

Alan Flusser has an entry on Angelo in the Rome section of his book Style and the Man (pp. 345-346).  The guide to tailors, shirt-makers, and cobblers is only available, though, in the original 1996 version of the book.
