I guess if anyone come across a chrome button like this,

 I could use one.

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

And some boots to go with it (different guy though)

Also an Orvis tweed that had a pretty (old old?) label and some holes.  Im going to use it as a barn coat.

I have a lot, but none of those. I will keep an eye out at the local antique shops.

I think I like that Brooks more than the Savile Row stuff. That Dege jacket is pretty sweet though.

^ Stole the words out of my mouth... why are the gorges so low on that English stuff? P.S. Spoo, you still owe me a Coke since ya jinxed me!

Not your typical Continental Sharkskin suit, this one is raw silk - what a fabric! 44 Long (gasp!)

Odd... I grabbed two of those the other day. One in Ivory and one in Beige, from the mid 50's

I'm not really sure of the vintage on this one, 60's or 70's perhaps? But it is older, in mint condition and faaaaaaaaaaaaaaabulous!

x-post from thrift thread

"One way to tell the age of a French Shriner shoe is whether the full name is French Shriner & Urner or just French Shriner.  The "Urner" was dropped I believe sometime in the 1950s after Samual Urner died." - from a styleforum member. (going to x-post in the shoe thread)

Looking at 40-50's and then Wes found an add from a 1928 book that looks the same. Amazing condition for the age.

Actually from further research, I found that Samuel Urner died in 1912. Followed by Shriner in 1915.

Also came across this dated 1971...Hate to narrow your timeline and then expand it again. On the bright side...it looks like Lytton was only in business until 1964.

I'd be shocked if those were any later than the '40s.
