I remember seeing more acid jackets from Lilly Pulitzer previously in this thread. What's the lore behind the store?

Can't believe I neglected to post these here.  Edwin Clapp NOS, research says they are from 1931, but unconfirmed.  Sea Turtle monkstraps.

Those are amazing, D. What indicates 1931?

I've got a decent relationship with the staff at that particular goodwill - the guy that processed these had a stack of research printouts, comparisons, I don't even know how he managed to find most of it. He's newer there, definitely seems to know his stuff (which may end up being a bad thing for me).

Anyway, he had a several comparisons and references that indicated 1931, and while I can't be certain he's right, I think he made a pretty good pass at the research.

I was a Chipp customer in the 80s and 90s.
I bought RTW and MTM, not custom (bespoke)
I am not sure that such linings were available
in MTM- I wasn't interested in any case.
I stopped shopping there when I no longer
got to New York regularly. Great clothes.
I still have a couple of jackets and a suit.

DanM, you should send a PM to SF member IsshinRyu101. He will know the right date for your rare pair.

Authentic? Vintage? Any input would be greatly appreciated

Spoo - every piece you post is worthy of a requote. The button stance is remarkably low on those 50's-era Savile Row offerings!

Here's a neat jacket for warmer weather. Made in the USA by Sears, full canvassed and natural shoulder. Seems to be a silk blend of some sort, evidenced by the nubiness. Color is even better in person, last picture depicts it most accurately. Like everything for the past month, it's a 40 S.

No love for this Sulka scarf in the thrift thread. Talked to some members on Vintage Fashion Guild who are thinking early 40's based on the tag and the design.
