Yellow Hook Necktie Appreciation Thread - Page 34

Some new product uploaded today...including these two beauties that sold out at the Trunk Show...they are the shit, and the Cashmere is one of the softest I've ever felt. Also got another Cocoa Cashmere, which I'm convinced has some vicuna or mink in it, its so supple.

I'm feeling both of those tattersall ties and also that awesome glen plaid cashmere on page 1.

How many of each do you usually create?

might be too early to tell, but what's in the pipeline for spring/summer? I know it's the middle of winter in most places, but summer starts early here so I need to start planning for new purchases soon! Any raw silks or shantungs?

It really all depends on how much cloth we find...its the most time consuming part of what we do...sourcing the right fabric. Because everything is made one at a time, we can't afford to buy in bulk, so we look for vintage pieces and end bolts from local sources. What you see on the website is all we have, and with the cashmeres and tattersalls, all we'll make, and once they go, you probably won't see them again.

Ohhh, we got GREAT stuff in the works. No raw or shantung, but lots of GREAT grenadines and some absolutely SICK linens. I'll try and post some preview pics.

Looking good FC!

Three AWESOME new ties up...these ties were a real labor of love, and incredibly time consuming, but are just perfect! I wanted to create something tough and sturdy that was still crafted, entirely, by hand. I've been wearing these samples for 2 months now, and they truly hold up to the test. I'm pretty proud of these, and know you guys will LOVE them.

The selvedge tie is a bit heavier than the railroad stripe but still makes a nice four in hand. Please note, these ties measure in at a slimmer 3" wide blade, and were fashioned from the pattern of an older JCrew tie I own. Of course we had to tweak it to make it work for the denim, and these need NO lining to hold shape, but these ties really are the sh*t. Because of the difficulty it was to make these entirely by hand, there's a good chance these won't get done again, so if you're thinking about it, jump now.

Happy New Year guys!

Guys, were dropping the prices on all of our 100% cashmeres to clear them out for our upcoming Spring run. They'll be 139.99, plus your 10% SF discount it brings them to a super price...$126.00

I'll be dropping the price on the site later in the week, and promoting the heck out of it on social media...so if there are any cashmeres your interested in, drop me a line, and I'll give you guys first dibs on them until Thursday (when the price will drop on the web site).

If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message here, or if you need a more immediate response get me at yellowhookneckties@gmail.com (SF isn't always accessible at school, but I always have access to email).

Also, can't think of a better time to be wearing the Hot Cocoa Flannel. Its gonna be a balmy 8 degrees in NYC today.

We only have 2...it takes so long to work on raw denim, and if we want to keep it all hand done, we have to accept very limited numbers....I LOVE mine! Wear it all the time.
