Stupidly decadent Zegna cashmere. Thing is SO plush.

I think I might still have one of those... Gosh, it's been so long since I've even held a tie...

This story sounds familiar...

Thank you for sharing. I had heard of Vanda but never thought to check them out. After seeing the video and learning it is a husband-and-wife shop with incredible handiwork, I will definitely be ordering in the future.

^ Vanda definitely make some great products. I don’t wear pocket squares often, but the one I have from Vanda is by far my favorite and their ties are great. I think they compare very nicely with Yellow Hook.

Since YH is sadly no longer around, I feel ok strongly advocating for Vanda, particularly if you are in need of a true small business option for your ties, squares, etc. There are other high quality options (Hober, for instance) out there as well, but Vanda is as good as it gets, in my opinion.

My go to choices for smaller brands for ties that are at the Yellow Hook level of quality:

Vanda
Hober
Panta (though I think this company is no more as well)

Chipp isn’t quite the same level of quality (in terms of fabrics) as the others mentioned here but they are still very nice and quite the bargain.

I do think (and hope) Panta is still around, though they’re definitely not maintaining a retail presence for accessories and such. Couldn’t hurt inquiring with Ed. In recently getting a secondhand Panta suit, I would love to have something made for me. Suit itself is badass, and it’s very well made.

Since you're not going to be able to find any new Yellow Hook neckties, how about some that I recently sent off to @SpooPoker at LuxeSwap? All are in great condition, I just don't wear neckties enough anymore to justify keeping them around.

Yellow Hook Neckties Untipped Rainbow Silky Tweed 7 Fold Tie (this one might have been one of my all time favorites from Yellow Hook)

Yellow Hook Neckties Muted Red Grey Static Tweed 7 Fold Tie (another of my favorites and really a lot more versatile than the one above)

I have a couple of Yellow Hook shirts selling via Luxeswap auctions that are ending tomorrow. All items in great condition - plaid shirts are like new.

Bidding on all three is currently very low so it's a chance to pick up some great YH gear for an awesome price.

This tie as much as any makes me miss YH, which (got damn time flies) has to be creeping up on 7 years old by now.
Rob popped this cashmere striped sample in as a “thank you” for my first ever order.
Not my favorite tie by any means. Probably not even top-20, but it still strikes me right in the feels on the rare occasions when I do wear it.

I've got this classic YH chambray with the skull button on eBay. Weirdly, after years of wear, it shrank in the wash. I'm pretty sure I didn't wash it on hot, but who knows. Check the measurements. I'm sad to let it go, because it's a great shirt with one of the greatest buttons.
