jokes gents. All two of the ties Rob donated are for the box and will be sent out to TSB participants. None are for me (the TSB organizer). =)

Are you not human!? How does a person who sees and holds a Yellowhook tie not tempted to take one!?

Am I taking crazy pills!?

Sidenote: probably should move convo to the TSB thread.

Thank you Hoff and Stitch. In response to you both:

Rob donated the ties to the TSB. They are extremely nice. :slayer:

It would be easy for me to snag one and replace with another nice tie. These are the reasons I am not doing that:

1) Rob donated / sponsored the ties so the TSB members could enjoy his ties, members could see the high quality first hand of the ties, and hopefully this would encourage future purchases. Me taking a YellowHook tie would detract from that goal.

2) This iteration of the TSB is founded on high moral character. The first round went extremely well, and all members were honorable and honest, adding value to the TSB when it was their turn. I want to encourage that behavior, as for the box to continue being fun and successful, we must set and maintain a high level of ethics so that this box can improve for this and future generations of the TSB.

It would be nice for everyone to have fun, and think of how they can contribute to the TSB, not simply what we can get out of it. That sort of thinking will help us achieve a level of TSB nirvana - wherein the top shelf ties are being swapped with consistency in the box. You know, the nice stuff that people say they are going to put in because it's nice and they'd be willing to part with it, but end up not parting with them because what they are getting back is not at the same level. I'm talking Kitons, Hobers, YellowHooks, Vandas, Pantas, etc

3) I support all the SF member ventures - and I have made purchases from many SF members turned small business owners to show my support and enjoy their products. I have known Rob through SF for several years, and he's a great fellow Brooklyn-ite. His goods are high quality, and I hope to purchase from him in the future. In no way would I want Rob (or anyone else) to feel that I was seeking to obtain a "freebie." I'd like the TSB members to enjoy the ties, and hopefully support Rob's great business in the future (Rob, i'd love to see what you do with Pocket Squares).

Cheers Rob, and thanks again!

Those are some juicy ties. The pics that Spoo posted of them in the wild are drooling.
