IT'S HERE: Chain Stitch Hemming for Jeans in Chicago

Thread Starter

I know some people wanted to know where to get their jeans hemmed in Chicago.

Well I just got off the phone with the owner of Mild Blend and he told me that they'll be getting a chainstitching machine in two weeks.

Price for hemming will be $20.

Goodbye... stacks...

Awesome.  I have a pair of sanforized N&F Left Hand Twill.  I've only been wearing them about a month.  Is it ok to chainstitch without soaking first?

Yeah, you can hem when ever since they won't shrink much. nothing too noticeable any way

The machine at Mildblend is down for the count.  They said they're ordering a repair/replacement, but they wont get it for several weeks.

Classic styleforum.  Fanboy thumb ups "lol".  Doesn't find post actually advising of status of chainstich helpful.

Quick update: The Union Special at Mildblend is up and running. Chain stitch hem is $25. They hem on the spot, takes 10 minutes.
