if you are talking about the high end menswear stuff i would say Brioni, and Kiton if you want the top end and just name recognition, others on their level would be La Vera, and Attolini. If you are talking about mainstream designers (dolce, gucci, prada, etc) i think the only one that gets some kind of love from the forum would be Tom Ford but that stuff only works on a certain type of body/person. There are a lot of alternatives though and i would suggest looking around until you find a brand that works for you and suits (no pun intended) your personality and body type. With that being said there is also the custom option but majority of the "custom" that is out there is really not that great and to get on the same/higher level as SOME of the brands i just listed you are looking at around or slightly higher in terms of price. There are some though such as Steed and NSM and WW Chan (no experience with this last one but the forum seems to love them) that reflect a great price/quality ratio but again their cuts are very distinct and may not be to your liking and example of this is i have a bespoke steed suit in navy blue i also have a rtw Brioni suit in navy blue, even though i think the steed is head and shoulders above the brioni in terms of fit everyone i know will say the Brioni fits me better so it all boils down to personal taste in the end which again is a downside to bespoke because you only really see the finish product when well its finished lol.

Best is a relative term. But high-end usually refers( on this forum) to be Kiton, Attolini, Brioni.

He wasn't asking for the "best" he was asking about "high end designer/good names" which is why i tried separating what the forum would consider high-end; Kiton, Attolini, Brioni etc from the designer/good names which would be Armani, Tom Ford (debatably high end since up to Zegna Couture standards apparently), Prada, Gucci, Dolce etc. But even within the designers you can find some upper middle to high end pieces I.E Belvest for Prada and Zegna for Gucci. And even Dolce TBH even though i have no idea who makes for them isn't all that bad. Over priced yes but the ones i have are fully canvassed with fabrics that are pretty good.

What do you know about them?

Brioni and Kiton are two most popular luxury brands in the world. And they should be since both make use of the rarest and expensive fabrics such as vicuna and merino wool. And since they are sewn by hand, a single suit can take hours to complete by one tailor alone. So in that sense, the enormous price tag may be justified and certainly for the more affluent clientele, they are willing to fork out a $20,000 suit from a known luxury brand.

at the high-end luxury stuff, i adore loro piana and boglioli sports coats. i'm sure the kiton and attolini tailoring is exemplary as always, but for me, i like to look for a versatile sports coats that are comfortable and casual. might not be what you're looking for, but just my two cents
