Silk or linen white pocket square with tuxedo?
A white linen square is about as classic as it gets. Assuming you are wearing a classic/proper tuxedo, I would go with white linen. If you are departing from standard black tie (but still staying correct, i.e. smoking jacket, tropical white dinner jacket, or some other variation), then colored silk might work better.
Thanks for the quick input. I am indeed doing a "correct" tuxedo/black tie wear.
To clarify as well, I meant white silk vs. white linen. My understanding from what I've read on here occasionally is that white linen is more correct/classic.
I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to pocket squares.
Something more standard like this:
Or something a little more unique like the textured ones Vanda makes (they seem to not have any at the moment, but they have done two or three like this)
It's true that linen is more classic/traditional though.
