Engineered Garments Spring/Summer 2013, plus FWK - Page 57

Driver Jacket take 1 whole week to arrive from NY. The anticipation is killing me and I feel like I'm setting myself up for disappointment.

Monday seems so far away

Just a heads up for anyone interested in the cinch pants from this season - they are SLIM. I am 5'10 / 140-145 and the pairs I tried on fit like women's yoga pants (the tropical wool is actually as silky feeling too!). If you are around my dimensions and have any fit questions for this season's items items feel free to ask. I also just unloaded a lot of S/S '13 in the Marketplace - over bought!

I missed out on the XL olive vest frown.gif Ive been wanting one for a few months and it seems they are the only one who has it.
I mailed for measurements, and then it sold out the same evening. booooo

So I've been looking for a piece of beater outerwear that I can wear anywhere and I've narrowed it down to the EG storm coat from last winter season and the UU fishtail parka. Could anyone here make a comparison? If not, how warm and weatherproof is the storm coat?

Don't really know if this should go in the oldr EG thread since all of you have migrated here so sorry if irrelevant

Misery sounds like cinch pants are a good fit

Haha well yeah.. However, I think "fit" is an ambiguous term. With the cinch pants It's not the type of "fit" I would directly connect with EG but nothing wrong with it if that's what you fancy. Just added two pairs of shorts to B&S if anyone is looking.

Anyone like the Andover from this season?
Just bought my first EG jacket from a fellow SF member in this thread, a SS12 Baker in Dark Navy Broken Twill. Pretty excited for it to get here. Fingers crossed on fit. Getting EG pieces is becoming an addition.

Drivers Jacket is so dope, small fits great. Love the finish with green tint! Only gripe is that it has no inner pockets.

Anyone know what's the difference between the tropical wool Andover on ODIN vs. The Bureau vs. Mohawk Store? The most former has a missing pocket flap, visually.

It's actually not missing - you can tuck in the pockets on the Andover.

I thought so, but after reading about a store sewing on a label I thought ODIN had a special order or something. ODIN is located in NY as well FWIW redface.gif

Surprised the Drivers Jacket fit in such a small packaging though TBH. When I received it I thought someone else had ordered a textbook! I was pleasantly surprised after unwrapping the bubble wrap. Thanks Nepenthes!

edit:
Who else is caring the tropical wool Andover? Any of our SF store affiliates?

The Bureau is also carrying it but I don't know of any sf affiliates. I've been on the fence about the tropical wool andover all season - if anyone around here (looking at you, misery) can describe it a little bit, that would be really cool.

Surprised Barney's had stock (haven't been following this thread) and the anchor jacket. It's been a while since Barney's had EG right?
