American Rag at Fashion Island no longer carries EG =(

They did have some W+H and RRL and a decent denim selection. Outside of the denim, a bunch of junk.

Colour is not accurate. It is actually a few shades darker in person. I too own this piece.

Accurate colour representation via EG Blog.

Respect to Knight though, it is a nice outfit, albeit slightly inappropriate for Sydney climate at the moment. Still quite warm and humid during the day.

It definitely is a shade or 2 darker I took this pic during the day so the contrast was high sadly and true we still have humid weather. I put this look together very quickly for one of the SF members asking for a pic of the field jacket smile.gif I believe i wore shorts that day lol orange lafayettes if I remember correctly...

Just saw this post. You're welcome and I'd love to see some fit pics. We just got back from Italy and all I can say is I can't wait to go back.

Hey Gary,

I'll take some pics when I can. I still cannot wear it in such hot weather. I actually planned this piece for my holiday in Tokyo next month.

I'm glad that you had a great trip in Italy.

One question on the Tri-Colour Popover. Is there a little bag that comes with it so that it can be folded & kept inside? I saw a photo of it somewhere.

Aren't there any Reversible Brookline jackets this season? Would like one with the same prints as the reversible vests.

Regarding the Needles Rebuild jackets you two guys where talking about, I'm selling a Rebuild BDU Vest if any of you would be interested. It goes well with the jackets.

My navy EG FW11 Duffle coat got stolen wednesday together with an Sns Herning cardigan and some other stuff. Loved that jacket. If anyone would be willing to sell theirs I'd be happy to buy it.

I've seen your Needles vest listing before but sadly its just too small for me - I'm a medium.  Someone should kop though would look great under a grey/navy bedford or baker, I actually think it looks better styled under a contrasting jacket, and that's how its often shown in the lookbooks.

Sucks about your duffle man hope you find another one

There were no bags that came with the jacket, so I don't know what you are referring to.

I think that's a packable model i.e. you can sort of stuff it in its own back pocket.

Finally got my first pair of EG pants. This seasons Mainline olive reversed sateen fatigues.
I like them alot! I'd say they're loose without being especially baggy, a good relaxed fit.
I'm a 30-30.5" waist and the small fits me perfectly with the waist adjusters closed and a belt.

They're very lightweight. I prefer to be able to wear my pants all year round, so my next pair will probably be of F/W version as I'm guessing they are heavier.
Is it still possible to get a pair of F/W fatigues somewhere? Are they the same fit as the summers model?

Now they got me interested in the Cotton Pique USN Pants. Can anyone comment on the difference in fit between them and the fatigues?

I'm curious about this detail, i'm guessing it is for you to pull a string through it to tighten the hem. But no strings came with the pants.

^ EG usually releases Reverse Olive Sateen fatigues every season. I prefer the thicker fabric on the FW versions.

Only a few months until FW13 should be releasing. I've seen the collection in person; it reminded me a lot of WWM FW09.

like to see more pics of those pants , still unsure on them , look flimsy to me ..

yeah, I don't love super lightweight pants and I would want to be able to feel these in person before dropping the cash for them I think. That being said, I have a pair of the ripstop USN pants from a couple seasons ago that are pretty lightweight and for that reason they get tons of wear all summer long. Would be nice to have another pair of lightweight pants, especially in olive. Oh well, the USNs and my natural selvage jeans from this season will probably get me by for the most part.

really like the fit on those! So wish I could get a pair of reversed sateen in that fit. Still trying to warm up to the bagginess of my Workadays.
