I can't decide whether to size down to a medium or keep the large and have my tailor alter the sleeves. I think that alone will do alot in making it look better. If I were to keep it, what more could I have my tailor do to adjust it for a better fit?

The large is good around the chest, and I'm afraid if I size down to medium it will be too tight in the chest area, especially if I would layer a vest or sweatshirt underneath.
Opinions and suggestions are welcome.

Don't mind the large boots, it's freezing here so I can't use the jacket in months anyway wink.gif Thanks.

There's a lot of people on here who don't like to hear EG critisized, but i have mentioned numerous times that some of their items ar so badly tailored they can't possibly fit a regular sized person. This jacket is the perfect example. The chest measurement is v.small on the large being 20.5" the shoulder to shoulder is over 19" which is a massive measurement for such a small pit-pit. Then there's long arms & length to add to a really poor fitting garment. This jacket swamps you, but who knows the medium may be too tight in the chest but great elsewhere, but thats modern day eg for you.

I had the same issue with most other EG jackets (Bedford, Truman, etc.).

Thank you for your input. I'm afraid I agree, I will.

I totally agree. Some items have strange measurements in relation to each other. Judging by the back and sleeve length this seems to be for tall and slim people.
I may have to shorten the sleeves of the medium, but after that I believe it should fit perfectly.

Sad news is that I cannot return it for an exchange because I had Odin remove the pricetags and receipts to avoid customs so it was final sale.
Thought I'd hear with you SF guys first. Letting it go for 400 + shipping worldwide. Retail is 455.

I sympathise. Such a shame. It's a great looking jacket and hopefully you get the medium!

I literally just purchased a field jacket in an olive I'm sorta eating what I said a few posts ago about it. But I've realised just how spectacular it looks. The navy one was also something to behold and I was losing my mind what colour to choose. But I think olive was the way to go. Ill post fit pics and measurements once I get it.

I love the Workaday version, I've worn them to hell over the past couple of years, the olive sateen is a great weight and wears in wonderfully, but they are probably the fullest fitting pants I have. It took a while to get used to, but I like I said... I practically live in 'em. The Mainline version are great too, not knocking 'em in any way. Being from SS12, they are decidedly lighter weight, and I wear 'em more as beach pants.

Workaday fatigues forever.

I'm not sure if this is the one you are talking about, but I tried on the 60/40 field jacket at Nepenthes. It's really nice. I already have a similar weight 60/40 from Mt. Rainier so I opted for the cotton flight jacket instead. Can't go wrong with either though.

How is the sizing?
I found it TTS. I'm a true small, and I tried on a small and it fit pretty well. It's very functional with the zip-out skirt and snap buttons, detachable hood, etc. I don't think they offer an XS, but if they did, that's where I find the sizing gets weird and I can literally be anywhere from an XS to a M with EG.

Hi guys,

Has anyone seen the Reverse Sateen pants this season in person.

https://www.thebureaubelfast.com/shop/560/olive-reversed-high-count-sateen-fatigue-pant

Could you please comment on how the weight of the fabric compares with pants like the Type 7:

I am looking for a something to wear in Fall months as well.

Thanks,

Can't offer a comparison to Type 7's but I can say that they won't be any good for Fall wear. They are very, very lightweight, almost nylon-esque.

I know this is kind of a long shot but does anybody know where I can get a L or XL paisley camp shirt from SS 12?

Fred segal trend had an xl a while back but it's probably gone now. I would have bought it but it was super short and small in general (for an xl)
