Is Norway the country with all the oil? No wonder everyone makes tons and doesn't work.

I'd look east instead of west for interesting opportunities, would aim for Hong Kong, as HK is hard to beatfor pay and experience, not easy to get there so would also consider Shanghai, Singapore and Dubai which all should beat going on the wrong side of the Atlantic.

Regarding Norway, I would definitely leave for a few years if you have the opportunity, Norway will always be there career wise as far as you don't do something really stupid, the salary in Norway will probably also be better returning say after 5 years in an international career than would you have stayed in Norway.

Yes. However, the Norwegian pension-fund is only ~4% of the US debt, and the Actions Act prevents the government from spending more than 2% of it annually, so it´s not like we are all filthy rich.

Plan so far is to go to Berkeley, and then I´ll see where I go. Maybe St. Gallen. Shanghai or Hong Kong is also interesting.
