I'm a young guy (22) looking to pick up some suits from Suitsupply to start a decent wardrobe for myself as a working professional (I'm in dental school at the moment). I need to know of anyone's experiences with tailors in the downtown area, ie. who can give me a thorough, well-done fitting of the suits without scoffing at my relatively low budget, but still knows how to make a slender young guy look good. He/she'd have to be relatively patient with my inexperience.
If it helps, I'm 5'10", Asian, about 155 lbs, with relatively broad shoulders and I normally wear a size 36. Normally size S at the standard-fare mall shops I frequent: Club Monaco, J. Crew, BR, etc.
Any advice for someone just starting a proper wardrobe?
Also any individual recommendations from Suitsupply are welcome. I currently only have one suit, a coffee-coloured Hugo Boss from Harry Rosen; I just went with it because my family was paying for it; to be honest I find it sort of ill-fitting for my build even after they trimmed it down as best as they could and I've taken to just wearing slim-fit dress pants from Zara/H&M and a vest as it looks better on my figure, even if the suit is much nicer.
