The UK/EU tie swap box rises from the Ashes - Reborn Stateside...

After culling, here is the UK/EU tie swap box stateside version.

I know a few people have expressed interest. This is the area to formally do so. The box will be limited to 10 participants to keep it on track.

Contents roll call:

Top L->R:
Corneliani Purple with blue dots wool tie
Exquisite Trimmings Tan Herringbone tie
Panta 7 fold Brown linen tie
Exquisite Trimmings Moss Green linen tie
Drakes silver with blue dots tie
Sartoria Patrozi Khaki tie

Middle L->R:
Brooks Makers Red Gingham tie
Harvey and Hudson Pink Wool, Alapaca, Mohair Knit Tie
Rooster Wool, Alapaca, Mohair Knit
British Regimental
Zegna Navy and white striped tie (perfect for recrafting as is wide)
Borrelli Khaki and blue dots tie (perfect for recrafting as is wide)

Bottom L->R:
Massimo Bizzochi green shantung pocket square
four other no name pocket squares

European swapbox, old boy, European. I see my contributions were nabbed somewhere along the line. I wish this box better luck than its predecessors.

What's the story behind this? Snagged by customs? Walked off with by a member?

I think I may sit this one out with a bucket of popcorn. I still don't know how these can turn out well without some quality control. Not to get too OT, but have you guys considered a tie exchange Secret Santa or something on that line where you all draw one name and are responsible for sending out one high quality tie? That seems likely to bring out the "I'm going to one-up the others" mentality which would lead to nicer ties being sent around and some accountability on each sender's part. Or if doing the swap, have a small set of approved brands. The swap box became too much of "These four $25 dollar cream colored paisleys most certainly equal this one $100 navy grenadine. And I'll throw in a random PS for good measure" which clearly didn't work.

Except: A. you may end up with a great tie which doesnt suit your needs (no pun intended) and B. even with approved brands, a 4 inch Brioni from 1962 would meet the rules for teh box, yet it still ****.
