Hi I've read a number of threads on soles and people having problems in winter when its snowy, wet or icy. Has anybody experimented by resoling to a doc marten like sole?
Especially because they seem to make low profile ones too now:

In my opinion they are better looking than commando and also much grippier and softer too.
If you're a cobbler and have similar soles in stock please let me know.
