Folks,
I am in the market for patent leather shoes. I narrowed the choices to Herring Waltz II and Church's Alastair. I was wondering if some of you could tell me why is it that some patent shoes are made with all leather heel. Most of the shoes nowdays have full rubber heel or 1/4 rubber tip built into heel. Are there any reasons for patent shoes to have all leather heel. I know that Brooks Brothers patent shoes have all leather heel. It looks like Church's Alastair has full leather heel too.
