T-shirt over long-sleeve button-up?

Any tips for this look? I just got a couple of t-shirts with nice designs and want to give it a shot. I'm guessing the texture of the button-up should be more casual (not ironed). Any suggestions?

Yeah, don't do it.

What the hell? I don't even see that on a college campus with probably the most frat guys in the nation. I don't know what it looks like but it sounds like something to be left alone.

Bad idea.

No

yeah, this look is a little passe if you gonna do it, definitely don't do it with an ironed shirt

It's acceptable, but only if you coordinate by wearing your underwear on the outside of your pants.

Sounds tacky to me.

Doesn't 'passe' imply that it was once acceptable?

Typically it does. I think it's safe to say that this was .. never.. ever.. evvveerrr acceptable.

I hate to beat the proverbial dead horse here, but please don't do it. Unless of course you're planning to opt for the afore mentioned external underwear look. Then it's acceptable. (But not with dry denim)

Thanks for the advice. It was just an idea I was thinking about.

That sounds like watching a home video with a toddler holding a baseball bat and his dad pitching the ball far too close.

You know it ain't gonna end well.

I saw someone doing this at a restaurantlast night.
Wasn't as bad as you'd think.
Don't get me wrong, it looked silly, but the guy was like 15 and kinda punky so it wasn't terribly out of place.

Didn't the guy in the Violent Femmes used to wear his shirts like this?
