BTW, I'm not sure I like the idea of the epaulettes, at least on a white shirt. I watched Casino Royale again last night and the white shirt he wears with epaulettes (on close inspection I'm pretty sure it is cotton or at least not 100% linen) makes him look like an employee or a sailor.

On a colored shirt, they wouldn't have that problem, and on a military color other than white (tan, olive, brown), they might be a plus... maybe.

I'd prefer for the shirt to not cross into safari territory - it's just not a good look for Canadians, even if our temps get into the 40s (Celcius) in the summer. I'd wear the lumberjack look before the safari/croc hunter look.

I haven't seen Casino Royale yet, so I'm not sure what this shirt is that you're talking about.

I'm in favor of a shirt like this as long as the neck's not too wide and there's buttons available to hide man fur should the need present itself.

I know you're doing shorts, but as far as different materials. I really like the seer sucker looking ones. You know, with thin blue/white stripes. Jcrew had some this season but they look awkward on the model and i'd much rather buy them from you guys. http://www.jcrew.com/catalog/product...atId=cat170055 http://www.jcrew.com/catalog/product...atId=cat170055 http://www.jcrew.com/catalog/product...atId=cat170055 I also agree that a more scooped neckline might be interesting. Mike lowrey wore a nice shirt like that i think by simplicietee or something. edit: i found lowrey's shot. The black tee works really well with layering and might look good alone. If the material is light enough, it might allow for some florida layering. http://www.styleforum.net/showpost.p...postcount=6210

Why did you link me to a dude wearing flip flops, I shuttered and closed the window as fast as I could

Instead of the usual blue stripe and I think Mike should make it more interesting with a burgundy stripe on white or something along those lines. I would be all over that.

+1 on slim fitting button up shirts. Something with a smallish collar ... a plain white and bold stripes / gingham checks. Long enough to be able to be tucked (this creates the need for a good belt); not so long that it would look awkward if left out. Ie something akin to this BoO shirt:

Talked to Colby and we will be doing some linen s/s shirts and long sleeve collarless linen shirts. We have been working on a dress shirt pattern for some time now, it is just a matter of finishing it. I will keep you all posted...

Give us two or three weeks for the linen shirts...

I will be putting up a henley and v-neck this week...

You have a customer if you come up with something with a Steven Alan/BoO fit at hopefully half the price.

Would it be hard to implement some customization options on the dress shirts? Specifically collar and length?
