Help with Blazers/Sportscoats

Hey Everyone!
Have been a lurker for a while, what a great community, here's comes my 1st post!
I had these 2 blazer/sportscoat/jackets (don't know how to properly call them) hanging in my closet for quite a while.
I wore both maybe a couple times, and I want to start wearing them a bit more. I'm in my early 20s, tall, bit skinny. Could you please give me some suggestions where can I wear them (formal/ informal, bar, everyday, to university etc.) and what kind of stuff should I wear with them? (what kind of pants, shirt, shoes, etc.)

Liz Claiborne, its eggshell white, close-ups are just for the texture

Also, I always believed that you are not supposed to wear whites in the winter when its cold.
Can I wear the white jacket in the winter? I'm from Toronto.

That first blazer would be great for safari.

I think the colours are summery, so maybe not great to wear in winter. I think you could wear either to some kind of boat party, I don't know if any happen on lake Ontario?

Seriously, start with odd jackets that are darker in color than your shirts.

The worst part is, is who his username alludes too. He would murder himself.

Obviously we can cut this psychotically named chap some slack and welcome him to the forum.

As for sport coats, the second one will work well in summer (actually nothing wrong with it at all - perfectly acceptable. People are poo pooing the brand more so than the look of the jacket IMO). The first one, yeah, not to my liking. Whatever the case with our opinions, both jackets are clearly summer attire.

For winter, I suggest getting a nice brown cord jacket, a navy sport coat, and optionally a brown patterned sport coat. These 2 or 3 items will set you up well in terms of outfit dynamics and will be versatile enough to go with either denim or chinos.

+ 1, and go with jackets darker than your pants (rule of thumb but not a hard law).

Thank you, finally an intelligent response! White, claiborne isn't a women's jacket for sure, but anyhow I guess it won't be worn much.... I got both of them because they were GREATLY discounted - "Buy first, think later", hoping to figure out how to wear them later.
Could I wear either with jeans in the summer? What kind of top would they need?

Actually, the worst part is the fact that you making an allusion, while completely lacking the knowledge of subject and context, and making an idiot out of yourself.

All I did was make a small observation on the reversal of expectation between those two jackets and what Patrick Bateman would wear.

I suggest that you read the book, to get an idea of what kind of person Patrick is. He would never wear a Claiborne or Nautica jacket.

Apart from that, the Claiborne looks bad, the Nautica looks so-so. I would not wear them in the winter, reserve it for the summer...The Nautica looks like seersucker, and that is definitively a Spring/Summer type of jacket. The Claiborne looks like a hack job of a jacket, unnecessary "flair" and stitching that just makes it look bad.

Read the book and saw the movie many times, sighs if only I could afford the lifestyle of Patrick Bateman
He'd never murder himself though, he's a narcissist, but you are right about him not wearing these jackets lol

Thanks, for clarifying that they're summer items, I wasn't sure - like I said I bought these a while ago mainly because they were so cheap!
Given the suggestions here I'm burning the Claiborne jacket lol, and How do you suggest I wear the so-so Nautica?

Jeans or white pants. The colours aren't ideal for winter.

I recommend you check out the Holt Renfrew or Harry Rosen outlets; you can find good stuff there.
