Unfortunate. Was hoping to snag some deals after Christmas

Since Wilkes was sold to Mitchells, the post holiday sale format
has changed. As of the last year or two, they no longer have a sale floor
but, more conventionally, discount their merchandise "in place" My guess is
that the discounts will be less owing to an improved economy and more tourists
in San Francisco.

Thank you. When you say the sales will be less generous, can you give me a % range? I'm new to sf so I've never shopped there after Christmas.

No I can't. In the Spring sale just after the new owner took over-
That would be 2010, I priced a Belvest Cashmer Blazer at 50%
discount. It was still around $1400. Gorgeous jacket. Needless to say,
Wilkes dropped Belvest around then.

I remember they had a 25% or 30% discount on shoes after Christmas last year, so you might be able to get some selected models G&G or JL at a discount.  But compare to JL's own sale or Barney's sale, its still lacking some oomph.

I only buy the shoes. The sale prices are good and they tend to drop about $40 each week or two until the stock is gone. Gravati can go for ~$350, Bontoni ~$500 or so. The shoe sale and the complimentary whiskey makes the trip worth it.

The sales are usually seasonal - right after the holidays, before spring, mid summer etc
