Not sure I'd go with green on this; I feel as though they should be black or brown, but perhaps a neutral color suede, almost like a gardening glove would do. Sticking to whatever I find on sale, though, since I may not live to use them twice.

If these are the first dueling gloves then i would suggest navy or charcoal. Green is very advanced and tough to coordinate.

And something that wears in well; if you tend to win duels then you'll have some very worn in patches from the gloves slapping across the face of others.

Yes perfect. No point putting a face in as that would limit applicability and who knows which thread will blow up at any point?
