dont get me wrong I have seen plenty of beautiful Vass shoes.

I just don't see them here, but I know that some people really like this type of 'chunky' shoes (I hesitate to call it central european style).
I am obviously not trying to convince anyone to agree with me, but I doubt I am the only one thinking the shoes in the pics are not 'beauties'

The proportions look better the bigger your feet are - on my size 46 feet they look positively dainty. No doubting it's a 'love it or hate it thing', but give the idea time and you may become converted.

cant speak for all of central europe, but that general styling is extremely common in all the shops and from all the makers in vienna.

those scotch/pebbled split toe derbys, if on rubber soles, make a ton of sense as rainy slushy bad weather casual shoes. (read: "country")
