Saw this posted today on Autoblog...

That late 1960's variant with the squiggly (for lack of better term) exhaust pipes is just incredible to me - maybe that is because of GPL though

Anyway...

heh... it can result in the viewer getting a bit hot and bothered; I watched it a couple of times

I just watched it again. The first car has the best sounding engine ever.

Sick. Reminds me Cavallino Ferrari, they started some of the 50’s, 60’s race Ferrari engines up, I was drooling. Fully worth the price of admission. Where’s the resident Ferrari owner / expert? I want his opinion on this. Jon.

Did anyone else notice the lack of any images of the 1980's cars? You know, from Ferrari's worst seasons ...pity, hearing those screaming turbocharged F1 beasts would have added to it.

Very cool! Engine noise is definitely one of the things Ferrari does best. In their road cars, I like the high scream of their high-revving engines better than the low growl of some other supercar makers. I have to say, however, I wish Ferrari would get back into sports car racing. I like the F1 racing, but it's Ferrari's GT cars - both then and now - that I really love. Ferrari winning Le Mans again would really make me happy. F1 is fun to watch, but it's the road cars and GT racers that I really like.

They were there. The cars were turned into scrap metal and used to construct the gas station.

Zjpj83, that is a good point. Ferrari's non-F1 program consists solely of some limited support of non factory teams like in the FIA GT/ALMS series... Did anyone see 12 hrs of Sebring? So great to see Mikka Salo back. The F430 managed to very effectively stave off the Porsche that dominate the class. Imagine what would happen if Jean Todt and company put their focus in GT2 or GT1...

Did you see the ALMS Sebring race?

The Ferrari Porsche battle for the last hour and a half was the most gripping endurance racing I've ever seen. Usually, I watch endurance races on fast forward, but this one was different. The last lap was straight out of a movie, complete with fireworks, and a two tenths of a second margin of victory.
