So far I've looked at the Wolverine 1000 mile, Red Wing Beckman, Alden Indy, and Allen Edmonds Long Branch. The soles on Alden Indy's look like they have no traction whatsoever. The Alden Indys that do have vibram soles are limited in color options. The RW Beckman is too narrow for my foot, and the Wolverine has a leather sole. The Allen Edmonds look nice and have a rubber sole, but the boots themselves look very flimsy. I don't plan on wading through snow with them on, but I'd like to be able to walk on a snowy sidewalk without slipping or getting my foot soaked. A little ruggedness can't hurt, but style is more important.
That being said, what are your opinions of the above boots and what are alternative options for what I'm looking for.
