Black Friday - Did clothing retailers give up this year?

It seems like no stores are offering any unique specials for Black Friday this year. All I am seeing, if anything, is a regular sale for the entire weekend, but there are no incentives to come in on Friday specifically and there definitely aren't "Door Buster" sales.

Has anyone seen anything different from what I'm seeing?

Yeah, I feel the same way. However, I have nothing to really back up this claim.

However, I did just get a century 21 25% off coupon, which has become very rare for them, but I wouldn't call that a door buster. especially since its for the whole weekend.

The only Friday offers I have seen are for the Premium outlets. For instant Zegna & Brunello Cucinelli outlets offering a 25-30% discount, but it does last throughout the weekend.

Everything else is just standard sales...

Horrible sales all around from what I have seen. Not just clothes.

I haven't seen any truly spectacular clothing deals for Black Friday in years. The deals are usually a recycling of the usual promotions. Then again, it's not just clothes. In general, Black Friday has been a bust for years. The "doorbusters" usually aren't worth giving up the extra sleep.

Well, black friday is still the largest sale before you're buying post-season stuff...

They may sell more but they don't seem to have better promotions anymore. IMO, that's been the case for a few years. I think that we've gotten to a point where shopping on "Black Friday" has become such a customary thing that people just do it. People assume that the deals are special, so as long as they see sales tags, they buy. They don't think about whether the same prices were available earlier in the year.

Yes, the American business model. Do something actually a bit good(rare enough as is), acquire a following and then if you were offering something of value because people are blind, stupid and lazy take away whatever was good(quality of your goods, Black Friday discounts, etc.) and increase your margins(maybe even profits) from the back end. Lovely.
At least here, people notice these things but it is the tiny minority paying attention.
BLACK FRIDAY HAS AMAZING DEALS!
Must be true, the stores and the idiot mass media told me so.(I can't use the,'It's on the internet', line can I?)
Note, there might actually be a few fantastic items for a tremendously low price but they stock 8 of them.
Is it worth half a day of your time to save 30 dollars?
It is so hilarious and irrational. If you told Americans to work an extra day for 50 dollars in extra pay, most would scoff.
If people put as much time and effort into something productive as they do into this idiocy the country would be a much better(and very different) place.
