Third pair of shoes... black longwings? - Page 2
Again it's just personal preference but when I'm in business casual gear - sports coat, slacks and tie - I'm just as likely to grab my black wingtips as my brown ones. More likely if I'm wearing dark gray or charcoal slacks, or if it's a cloudy day, or if I want to be on the less casual side of business casual, or if I know I'll be going from work to an evening event.
I was in need of a better dress shoe to replace a pair of black Calvin Klein slip-on's that handled 10 years of wear and were recently resoled. I went with the Alden shell cordovan's in black. I like the look of them on my feet, its a very substantial shoe. I was debating a burgundy or a ravello pair, but I've been victim of the black pants, brown shoe fashion no-no and figured a black LWB was safe and very flexible in more formal wear and also in business casual.
