Could you please um... be more specific?
Are you talking about Tempura... which is a pretty specific dish, but NOT sushi.
Or some sort of Americanized uramaki or "roll" that contains tempura?

probably a roll with tempura shrimp in it.
sweet potato tempura also tastes good in a roll.
BTW a nice big bowl of Chirashi or a full Omakase is about 592,502,113 times better than any sushi roll.

Not necessarily. The Frying Fish in Little Tokyo is well-known by my stomach for their Las Vegas roll: an entire California roll dipped in tempura, sliced, and then covered in sweet eel sauce.Originally Posted by whodini
Yep, I've had them. Deep fried sushi.. some of them are wrapped in seaweed. Personally, i'm not a fan of fried food. I like my sushi raw.

lol... I love this thread. All I have to say is that the Burger King Croissanwich is totally the most delicious French food I've ever eaten! Who else loves French food?

I agree, I find American cheese, especially Velveeta, to be much more palatable than its european counterparts. I bet those troglodites still use real animal milk! How barbaric!
How can you claim to "love" sushi in one breath, and then advocate its being battered and deep fried? This seems counterintuitive. Being tempura battered and fried RUINS sushi.

I can't explain it, but it is good. I dont really see it as "sushi" per say, it is like a tempura appetizer.
Is it not possible to like a cheeseburger and a fine french filet? They are different tastes that satisfy different appetites. Just because something is americanized, doesn't mean it is somehow barbaric.

The DFM&C is really good, if disgusting. It's not much more disgusting than those mozzerella stick things, though. Great for after a couple pitchers.
