MTM Kent Wang or English American (Elio) Suits

I'm looking to get a couple suits to upgrade my low quality, ill fitting ones. Probably charcoal, navy and a medium grey. I'm pretty new to the MTM thing and think I've narrowed it down to Kent Wang and English American/Elio in Westminster, MD (since I live in the DC area and could make the drive there). I'm looking to spend around $1000 or less per suit and from my research these two sound like they have a good price to quality ratio.

I'm curious if anyone has experiences with either/both and recommends one over the other when looking at fabric selection, overall build quality & number of customizations. Obviously a huge benefit of Elio for me would be that I can get measured in person. Also if it makes a difference, I am only 5'6" with a slim/athletic build and am looking for a very fitted look.

One specific question I have about English American is whether they use a floating or fused canvas? And if it really matters anymore with advances in fusing techniques?

I have seen the suits that kent makes.
very nice
but
who is going to measure you?

At EA you will be measured by someone with many years in the trade

Thanks for the reply. I hadn't quite gotten that far. I figured I could go to a local tailor to get measured maybe or use pictures to get advice on the proper changes after getting the RTW suit from Kent. Although neither of those is probably as good as getting measured directly at EA. Have you had any experience with them?

That'll set you up. EA has been discussed here before.

Either way, GL.
