I always thought it was a little odd to be awarding stuff from the Hanger Project to people with the most organized closet. It's kind of like giving free lottery tickets to Bill Gates.
Now if you have a contest for the person who most needs a gift certificate from the Hanger Project, you will be swamped with entries. And I will win.

Haha. Clearly you are a better marketer than I am.

Since now it is just a "Closet Photograph" contest, you can now win despite how desperately you need hangers.

Do many of you guys use shoe boxes for storage? Always though about having a nicer one made...

P.S. Two hours left on our Cyber Monday sale.

It's exam time...

And why I need new hangers:

Actually, the Joe fresh hanger is great for big puffy jackets.

Inside the boxes for shoes I don't wear more than once a week, ontop of boxes with bags ontop to protect from dust for the ones in current rotation. Nicer boxes would be great, although I think for me a really good cedar shoe rack to put the boxes on will suffice, I like the original packaging personally, makes that particular pair in the box unique.

I just keep the box for storage stuff if needed some day. But I think many of the boxes are nice to keep like G&G with the sammet inside and such. Shame to throw away :)

Gentlemen - due to the effects of smoking too many cigars, I somehow over-estimated the number of guys willing to enter their closet into a "most organized" contest. SO, I've amended the rules (in order to promote entry) to be a "Closet Photo Contest." Three winners will be chosen at random with those who have already entered receiving a little "bonus" for their initiative.
Technically, no photo is required to enter... but they're certainly encouraged!

A disappointing amendment to say the least. You have basically just turned this into a free raffle.

Same as above. Most of them are sitting on the shoe boxes they belong to. I used to repackage every time I wore them, but it got to be a hassle. Now i just box the ones that don't get worn frequently. Sorta picked up the habit from my wife. Need some sort of labeling thing to go on the outside to figure out which is which if I got some sort of fancy cedar thing.

With all respect I'm afraid that I agree with this gentlemen.

For those who had taken the effort to submit photos of their closet, they may certainly very well to be disappointed if they only find out that someone else has won the contest with no investment of any effort.

While standing in a civil position of obedience, I can and will only comply to the rules in my most respectful manner; however, I do strongly believe that photo of a closet, be it organize or disorganized in an artistic way, is of something fair to contribute in the least.

I keep my shoes in their boxes.

I think having nicer boxes made is a fantastic idea. Maybe lacquered wood boxes (cedar?), felt lined, with the lids and bottoms cut in such a way that they're stackable and interlocking. A small see-through plastic sleeve on the front of each box, so you can put in a little card describing the contents. Or a modular wooden shelving system to accommodate shoes and boots. I know I'd buy 'em.

Thanks for the support. I am disappointed so few people took this seriously. I thought this would be a sort of celebration of the enthusiasm that goes into this hobby/obsession.

Well, just because one has the interest to try and organize their closet in a nice or effcient manner does not necessarily mean their closets are outfitted with the kind of nice products The Hanger Project carries.

I think it is far more stupid to give someone who doesn't give a crap how they keep their stuff nice hangers and so forth....they will still not really care about how they keep their closets anyway.

Just give everyone a tin of Saphir polish and leave it at that.
