Are they stretching much? I'm ready to grab a pair, but not sure if I should do the 78 or 80cm (30.7"/31.5"). I'm about a true 31 right now. I'm leaning more towards the 80's. Thoughts?

I have the grifters and they have definitely stretched. Go with the smaller size.

Very minimal stretching, however I bought mine to fit and didn't size down. If I did size down, they would likely have stretched. Mine fit perfectly the first time I put them on, but if you want to size down one size, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

The rise of the Cougars is higher than most jeans I've worn... keep that in mind, unless you plan to wear them slouchy.

You bought the 82's if my memory serves me correctly and you're about a 31/32 waist right? My biggest concern is the thighs. I know I'd be fine with the 30.7 waist, I just want a more slightly relaxed jean, similar to RRDS. I've got the KMW 1980's and 5EP for slightly slimmer jeans.

W owners, how does the waist/inseam compare to Levi's sizing? Bigger/smaller/about the same?

Look at Ande's size charts. It's all there.

Yeah, his size charts are pretty concise. Check them out at Superfuture.

Yeah, I have looked at the sizing charts, but not sure how meaningful they are.

I mean, most jeans I have are tagged 30-31 waist. But if I measure around my hips where low-rise jeans like Grifters would sit, it's more like 33". So does AW's "true to size" mean the size of my waist? Or the size of my hips where the jeans actually sit?

That's the sort of thing you guys could tell me that sizing charts do not.

When the cougars are new, the measurements on Ande's charts are very precise. Doesn't matter if you wear them low or high, a 90CM waist is a 90CM waist. All of the measurements on the pair I received matched the sizing chart.

After about 2 weeks of consistent wear with a loose belt, my cougars stretched a little under an inch.

Hope this helps
