Leather and Suede Protector Reccomendations

I recently started buying expensive shoes, so I feel like I need to buy a good protector more then ever. Before now, I have been doing nothing with leather shoes, and using a J&M suede protector (doesnt say, but i assume with silicon). What is the best quality one for leather and the best quality one for suede that I can buy in the USA?

I use Obenauf's LP for my non-suede leather shoes, but usually on the darker leathers as it does have a tendency to darken you leather on lighter colors.
