. So the first issue any subscriber will get will be the March issue.

The things is though, before they changed their site, The Rake was listed at $30 a magazine, for back issues at least, and the subscription was at $130 (for UK, Europe and USA..) I just enquired if this was before shipping or after..

I am charging
£17 ($27) per copy (plus shipping, each magazine weighs 0.8KG and with the Rake Time supplement 1.2KG) I would not be able to charge $130 for the subscription as I would be losing money, if you knew how much I was paying per copy you'd think I'm crazy for buying the magazine to begin with. I just though it would be cool to have a destination in the UK where it can be shipped from.

Spoke with Dents about this when I realised I ordered too few, they told me it's not possible this late into the season and especially because the gloves I ordered were new this season and pretty much a test run. Sorry about that.

It would be nice if they had a digital/iPad version that could be downloaded and be less expensive.

^^^ They do.

I've been meaning to ask whether ordering single copies/subscriptions is still available via the site since the recent change - I can't find the buying page anywhere.

They do have this. I might try to arrange it to be downloadable via my site also..

They do have back issues available, they are in the process of re-doing that page. They are $30 + shipping each. Much better to buy from me if you ask... peepwall[1].gif The subscription option is coming to my site in a day or two. The first issue that will be available is the December issue. Will probably be shipped in the UK before Christmas time.

The Rake Magazine subscription (1 year) is now live for those in the UK & Europe. If there is demand I will make for the US also, shipping might be expensive, though.

I will be receiving the December issue (it has 2 supplements, Rake Time & Mrs. Rake) in a week or two, that will be the first issue shipped out to subscribers, if you subscribe up to February. Otherwise, the first issue will be in March.

The first 5 subscribers will receive a free back issue from the those I have available on the site.

Any questions, let me know.

  • UK Subscription
  • EDIT: EU Subscription (Coming soon to the site, available for order through here though.)

Question - will you ever stock Gallo ties?

Which ones? If you mean the bi-colour knits, I'm not sure, although I have some spectacular bi-colour knits coming from another maker in about a month.

I have been trying to get a price list for Gallo ties for forever, I'll send another email today. I could post some swatches of some interesting stuff if you'd like...

Been meaning to say my butler luxury hangers arrived last week. They are fantastic, work extremely well and look good too. Worth every penny.

That's it for this season, sorry. I might be having some arrive for the Summer, that will be around the middle of February. I still have brown, navy and purple available though.

Just got a pair of Dent's glove and in addition to them being fantastic I want to add that they were packed well and got here FAST.
I find myself wondering why I hadn't purchased something from Shaya sooner.
