We're running a trial on some (affordable) grenadines. They will be the beginning of a small line of essential ties that will be made under the Exquisite Trimmings label.

The main focus of the range will be an excellent price to quality ratio. Ties will be priced at £55 (inc. VAT), made from the finest fabrics and handcrafted in Italy.

The first 5 people to either PM me or send me an email (shaya@exquisitetrimmings.com) will receive a free grenadine tie, in exchange for posting their thoughts in this thread.

The grenadines are available in 3 sizes (7cm, 8cm and 9cm), a range of colours and in both weaves, grossa (large) and fina (fine).

The full range of grenadines can be viewed on the site here: http://www.exquisitetrimmings.com/products/show/newitems

(Also a sneak preview of my new mannequin!)

Was about to post this anyway, but it is extra appropriate in light of Shaya's recent generous offer (whether I made the cut or not!). Here's a pic of 2 Exquisite Trimmings items in action, a Passaggio Cravatte grenadine and a Drake's Navajo pocket square.

The Passaggio Cravatte has a unique hand, unlike any other unlined grenadine I've ever owned. It's extremely lightweight, but drapes very well and ties a beautiful knot. This lightness makes it one of the most comfortable ties I own, as you'll forget you're even wearing it. The colours of the tie rival the hanky in vividness, and the pattern has a very nice vintage vibe to it. The fact that it's a printed grenadine also makes it a rather pleasant exception exception to the standard solid ones. The construction is of a very high quality, and the hand rolled edges are truly a work of art. Sadly, this particular colour isn't available anymore, but a lovely wine red one is still up for grabs!

The hanky has swiftly become my favorite one, not only because of its fantastic wool/silk material, but also for its sheer versatility. As you can see in the two pictures, the same square is used very differently in the two outfits, but with an equally stunning result. Depending on how you fold it you can show dark green, golden yellow, burnt orange, light blue or wine red, with every colour being equally vivid. I can't recommend these squares enough, and I'm thinking of getting another one, as having just two of these squares will complement nearly every outfit you can think of.

Thanks for the kind words. You tie a fantastic knot! Those Navajo squares are also a favourite of mine. The elephant and birds hanks are the highlight of this season from Drake's but the Navajo is a sleeping giant.

Started uploading the Talarico umbrellas.

There will be more pictures coming over the next few days, they are rather difficult to photograph!

I have adjusted the shipping rules to reflect the fact that they need to be shipped in an awkward box.

As always, any questions, please PM or email me.

Shaya burning the midnight oil! They look great - as do the new Merola gloves. No one here as an excuse to go cold or get wet this winter - E.T. has you covered.
