Top Chef Seattle Season 10 - Page 11

^ Thanks for the spoiler alert/tag, dude.

I don't know about the fix, necessarily, but I do think Tom has been gunning for Kristen after she was unjustly eliminated. Poor Sheldon, though--dude was cool. Something to be said about the Pinoy/Hawaiian dude who wants to prove his development by making something more refined and getting booted for disappointing expectations.

Random thought: hadn't realized this before, but Brooke must be a stress case because her teeth have been ground down completely flat.

Yep, the fix was in. Top Chef wanted a female winner. Sheldon never had a chance unless he clearly outcooked one of the women. Brooke is the more mature chef and should win next week.
Brooke and Kristen have made way better food all season though. Sheldon's no doubt the best "cook", like he's obviously whom you'd want running your pass, but that's not what the show is about. Kristen's job was basically tailor-made for this show - she works at a cooking school/restaurant where she cooks with different foods and techniques all the time and changes the menu a lot. It's like Top Chef every day for her.

You wouldn't know it because she's so pretty (and from what I can tell from a more well-off background) but Brooke has a ton of experience even though she probably spends less time in the kitchen these days. Credential-wise she's almost a ringer.

that's true. she's kind of in the bryan voltaggio mold of someone who already has an established reputation. funny moment a couple of weeks ago when the animal guys were judging her and it turned out she'd passed on giving them jobs a couple of years ago. she's a real sweetheart, too.

My girlfriend called a Kristen, Brooke, Sheldon final 3 about four weeks into the show.

I REALLY loved Sheldon. He's so goddamn likable. He wanted REEFER in Alaska hahahaha. It was sad to see him go but you could tell that he just didn't quite stack up in the creative department compared to Brooke and Kristen. The GF is stoked for another female Top Chef winner. I think either of them are very deserving of the crown.

Does Kristen have a chance, or is tonight Brooke's coronation? I think Kristen can beat Brooke in a one-dish showdown like LCK, but no way she beats Brooke in a multi-course meal. Dessert is going to trip Kristen up again.

Iunno man, I'm rooting for Kristen and I think she can win.

(I know there are a lot of Brooke fans here, but I find her kinda sorta boring.)

The gimmicky format gives Kristen a chance. Five one-dish competitions.

Am glad Kristen won the first round, but I'm not super happy with CJ fucking up Brooke's first dish (since I like CJ).

this format is stupid

^ Yeah, it pretty much guarantees (at least in the viewer's mind) that some of the votes are rigged. What're they gonna do, have a 35-minute finale with a contestant winning the first three rounds?

the format had potential. i hated the live audience thing but liked the instant reaction from the judges. i think it would have been better if the judge had to hold up a kristen or brooke sign at the count of 3 or something.

im glad kristen won though. i was a fan of her.

RIGGED!

I like Kristen and believe that she is a deserving winner, but changing the finale format from Restaurant Wars to a series of LCKs strongly favored her. Brooke gets flustered when cooking under strict time constraints, while Kristen has been practicing for such a format for several weeks. Kristen showed in the Restaurant Wars challenge that she's not great at running a kitchen. Oh well, Brooke is already an established name so a win wouldn't have made as big a difference in her career as it will for Kristen's. Top Chef gets to promote an up-and-coming star.

Format was fucking ridiculous. There's no suspense when there's only five minutes left in the hour. Of course she'd won.

The format was terrible but Kristen = inlove.gif
