Top Chef Seattle Season 10 - Page 8

tom being tom. good for him. and i wonder how him watching the behind-the-scenes of this week will affect his judging next week.

^ Do you think he gets to watch the behind-the-scenes stuff as the season is filming? Or do you think that he has to wait until weeks later when the production team has decided how to frame the narrative?

as i understand it from casual chats and from my experience doing one of those shows, the two weeks or so during the actual filming is just an unholy trainwreck for both cast and crew. what someone once said of battle -- days of tedium interrupted by minutes of sheer panic -- is true, but on overlapping layers -- when the cast is stuck in the dressing room for hours with nothing to do but check emails, the crew is working frantically; and the actual filming is hell for the cast, it's pretty straightforward for the crew. in short, my guess is that they may be speculating about what's going on in the kitchen, but there's absolutely no time to view any footage. and sometimes that speculation can be bass-ackwards (apparently what happened in the case of the latest josie).

I actually hate Josie so much that I like her now. I now find her awkwardness kind of refreshing and fun.

Interesting. "Days of tedium interrupted by minutes of sheer panic" seems to describe my entire existence.

You do not want to bark up that tree.

I'm rooting for Sheldon at this point. His sleepy-eyed candor is hilarious.

yes, she is very professional.

Brook is doing well, but I don't think she'll win.

I thought Kristen would go further, but then she came up with a super-lame concept for Restaurant Wars. "Flip" classic French cooking? What the fuck does that mean? It showed in her bourguignon.

Sheldon has been a sleeper. I predict big things.

yeah, I booked my hotel in Lahaina a few blocks from Sheldon's restaurant. can't wait to try it in April. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

stefan might take it.

I'm thinking Kristen comes back and takes it.

I predict a Stefan, Sheldon, and Kristen/Brooke finale.

Sheldon has been one of my favorites since the first episode and he REALLY brought it with his restaurant wars concept dish and execution. Kristen should be able to hang on in the last chance kitchen...I hope. Stefan is looking much stronger this season and a LOT more likeable as a person (though he was still pretty fun during his own season). Brooke is strong, but I don't see her taking out Kristen if it comes to last chance kitchen, nor do I see her taking home the prize.
