Anybody know anything about these guys?  They look decent in the picture.

everlane just came out with some u-necks for $15. they aren't very slutty at all, so I ordered one a size larger... will post a fit pic when it arrives if it looks good at all.

Hmm

I ordered a couple of the Everlane U-Necks. I was rather disappointed. I ordered the same size as my other Everlane tees, which fits more or less perfectly. The u-necks are substantially longer, which is fine, but they're also wider around the hips, so they look blouse-y. I'm actually considering a size smaller, but I'm afraid that the tighter collar would defeat the purpose of the shirt.

From H&Ms webstore, seems like worth a try for $13?

I handled that today, it''s soft and will probably pile a lot but it was thin and looked like it would drape well.  They didn't have my size so I can't comment on fit.

H&M products may look good but aren't very often worth buying even though prices are cheap. Their linen t-shirts are the latest bad experience. Awful quality and didn't like washing.

I can recommend COS (http://www.cosstores.com). T-shirts are overall very good. Textured jersey t-shirt, raw-edged t-shirt & rolled raw-cut edge t-shirt seen below.

Pity COS doesn't have a presence in America at all.

Apparently they will sometime next year.

The cotton t-shirt I have from them has lasted more than a year by now with no problems.  I could see linen being bad since linen tends to be scratchy.

American apparel has some wide-neck see-through t-shirts which feel cheap but will probably look nice.  I can't comment on fit since they only had smalls.

Nordstrom has them

I got mine on sale at Acrimony for $50, great shirt. My guess is it's going to be hard to find them on sale unless you wait a couple months till winter clearance.

nice, thanks, dude. what's the word on sizing. had planned to get a L, but looks like they suggest an xl for 42in chest (I'm actually prob closer to 44/45).

I guess it depends on how oversized you want it, because they're supposed to fit a little bigger/boxier. I just got my regular size, which is a medium. I have about a 41.5" chest, here's a pic:
