sunken metal toe plate pics

I'm wondering if the welt is being prematurely beaten up in the area of the sunken metal toe plate. Below are pics. If this is normal wear and tear, it just appears to be different from ther others I shoes I have with sunken metal toe plates. Goal is to discern if the shoe needs to be resoled, new sunken metal toe plate installed, or ideally, no action needed!
