I'll bet that if they become a 1 seed in the tourney, they'll be the first 1 out.

You been going to State's games this year? Michigan game was nuts from the moment they let us in, but the IU game didn't have the same energy. I'm thinking about picking up 2nd round (Saturday) tickets for the Palace. I'm pretty sure both State and UofM are going to end up there.

The fourth one is going to be interesting this year. IU has one locked up as well as Duke and Miami. Miami just has Duke left, probably twice, but Duke has UNC. I think that Miami and Duke will get ones unless someone takes both the regular season meeting and ACC tournament meeting. The fourth one is really up for grabs. Gonzaga doesn't have many quality wins and Florida's in the same boat (5 top 50 RPI each). Gonzaga's got two over St. Mary's, but St. Mary's sits at 50 in the RPI and could easily slip. Kentucky's at 48 for at least one of Florida's top wins. Gonzaga's pretty much out of chances to add to that while Florida's got UK and maybe one more in the SEC tournament. State's got 7 and Michigan's got 6 each with a chance to get a couple more top 50 in the regular season and at least one more in the Big 10 tournament. Syracuse has 4, but 4 of their last 5 are top 50.

Just over two weeks from Selection Sunday.

I've been to only one. I wish I could've gone to michigan one. That had to have been crazy.

I'm kind of bummed about not being able to go to the Palace. I'll be in china that weekend. I just got an email from the office saying we have 200 tickets to give out and usually I can sneak a couple for myself. Bummer. You should definitely go. You know either MSU or UM will play there.

MSU could fall hard. They have a rough stretch. At OSU. Wisconsin. At Michigan. Just a gauntlet. Michigan went through the same stretch and lost 3 of those games. I'm thinking about trying to get the Big Ten tourney tix in Chicago.

Applings shot is broken. If he is on and playing well they are a final four team. Dawson needs to get his head out of his ass too.

The next three are rough. I think they'll abuse OSU down low this weekend. Payne always shows up for OSU, and Nix has diversified his moves. DeShaun Thomas dropped near 30 in the first game, and it wasn't enough, so I'm not sure what else OSU's got. Wisconsin's going to have to make a bunch of threes to win, but that Michigan game probably ends up as a loss.

Appling went through the same awful shooting to end last year. Harris and Payne are the only consistent 3-point threats out on the court. Valentine's been doing much better than expected filling in for Trice as backup PG. He makes some beautiful passes, but he's got to cut down on taking threes. When he drives he's great at finishing or finding a big with a pass.

Dawson does seem disinterested at the weirdest times. It shouldn't be hard for anyone to focus for a game against IU. I think he might be crazy enough to leave after this year: Marcus Taylor 2.0.

Dude. I feel like we can talk for hours on bball. Love it.

payne and nix have improved so much. Payne went from a nobody to people start talking about first round draft pick. I hope he doesn't leave. He creates a mismatch with anyone in the Big Ten. I like nix a lot. Fuck Dick Vitale by the way. The video shows Zeller punched himself in the nuts with Nix's hand. Saturday will be a good fight. You're right, payne always shows up. Maybe it's like this everywhere, but I like how the big ten players all are familiar with each other. The recruiting is very centralized so everyone knows everyone from AAU leagues and stuff. Payne made Sullinger his bitch last year.

Valentine has improved greatly since November. I think he's going to be a good player. Costello too. kaminsky is suppose to have a great shot, but that's what they said about Byrd.

The team will go far if Dawson stays in it 100%. The IU game he was benched and it hurt.

Next year could be real interesting. Payne, Dawson, and Harris could all go. nix is gone. No incoming freshmen now. Yikes. If those 3 come back and valentine and Costello progress, you could have a final four caliber team.

Early entries could really cripple them. It could be the year that ends the NCAA streak, but Izzo always pulls together enough of a team to get that far. Hell, this year wasn't supposed to be that great for them.

Costello's blocks the other night were huge. I'm pretty sure the loudest the crowd got was after he swatted 2 or three in a row. I saw the video of Zeller pulling Nix's hand in there. I haven't seen a good angle of Nix getting Zeller's elbow a couple possessions before that. Nix runs weird normally, and it was near comical watching him try to run after he took the elbow.

Byrd's a waste of space.

Appling used to be a lockdown defender, but Craft got to the rim with ease today: Harris guarded him occasionally though. He also used to make his damn free throws in clutch time. Two games in a row they've crumbled down the stretch. Dawson seemed disinterested again down the stretch. He didn't have any emotion going over to the bench when Izzo took him out late in the game. He isn't going to make free throws, so he may as well focus on making the shot instead of drawing a foul near the end of the game. Payne showed up like we thought as well as Harris. Nix was kind of meh for a good chunk of the game.

They've got a week to get right before Michigan.

Indiana has its hands full tonight. Minnesota is a tough opponent for #1.

Minnesota went through a lull in the middle of the Big10 seasons, but they were a solid team for the first half of the year. It's really surprising that they were 6-8 in the Big10 before tonight. It's going to be a good year in the NCAAs for the conference.

Appropriate again. Dawson M.I.A. Nix went back to his lay-up missing days. Harris and Payne were excellent once again. The sequence to start the second half when everything was called an offensive foul on State was atrocious. I hope these two meet again in the Big10 Tournament semifinals.
