Too late. Poor kid--that was terrible.

just saw the replay. I tuned in right after it happened, and just say everybody crying and all, and i honestly thought some player fell head first and brain matter came out or a jugular was severed

i know i'm going to be the asshole here, but whatever, it's a broken leg.

I'll go out on a limb (rimshot.gif) and say that it might register differently among a group of (officially) unpaid student athletes whose ambitions ride on their ability to run quickly and jump high.

wife made this point to me, and it is certainly applicable for a non-contact sport.

I was listening to the game while driving back home from being out of town. The description from the radio commentator sounded dreadful.

Horrific Tib Fib Fracture. That will be a long rehab and I will be surprised if the kid will maintain his pre-injury explosiveness.

sort of. I got wasted as they demolished SU in the Big East championship game. It was an honest question as I'm a hockey guy with marginal basketball knowledge and marginal basketball injury knowledge (obviously). But I know and respect "x factor things", but clearly they had no problem with Duke to close it out, so I am actually wondering if this is a giant loss or not.
