Anthology films have done fine at the American box office. Especially in the horror genre. The Creepshow films, Tales from the Darkside, Twilight Zone. Shit, Pulp Fiction was an anthology film.

Edit - but yeah this trailer looks like shit.

I wish they'd at least kept the oral history / documentary element. That was the best part of the book, IMO.

Word from early screening of footage from the film is that there is hardly any blood in it. Yes, a zombie film without much blood shown. It's apparently even sanitized looking for a PG-13 film and that says a lot.
