When I'm not shufflin, I've been listening the Frank Black collection 93-03. Not much on there I don't already have from the albums, but nicely packaged and edited.

Totally agree with the Okkervil run-down. I love The Black Sheep Boy.

The recent Spoon album is very good. I don't think any of the albums I have of their's are mind-blowingly great, but they're so consistent. They always do a very solid rock album. There seems to be a lot of 50's pop infulences on this one.

Old Crow Medicine Show anyone? Wagon Wheel and Cocaine are great. Bob Dylan backs them and even wrote a chorus for wagon wheel. Anyone else listen to prewar blues? Blind Willie Mctell and Mississippi John Hurt are two of my favs.

Moving Units' "Hexes for Ex's" Midlake's "Trail of Occupanther" The latter's been stuck in my head for quite a while now. I'm also trying to listen to the new Receiving End of Sirens but I think I need a few more listens before it catches.

Black suit with sparkling lapels and pocket flaps, giant white pocket square that hung out of his pocket rather extravagantly because he kept pulling it out to wipe his brow. A 3/4 length overcoat with a fur collar that he removed early in the show.

I just found this YouTube video, so see for yourself.

Recently re-discovered an old acquaintance/friend of the family. Evidently she is a signed recording artist with ATIC records, living in England, has a kid, and is working on a followup album. Pretty decent stuff if you like jazzy soul/ pop/electro stuff.
