Also +1 on Razrs are horrible. Their software powering the phone is the worst. I will never ever purchase a motorola ever again. Its like they took all their resources out of their software/system development and put it all into the flattening team

Eh, the dual sim thing seems equivalent to Dual NAM setups -- you have to change it over, and can't run live with two numbers all the time. Verizon does Dual NAM no probs if anyone is in need.

So two phones seems the only option to be live with two numbers.

VKK, can't do the forwarding thing, as I need my 'on call' number to always ring and always be live, and don't want 'regular' incoming calls to ring/vibrate all the time like that.

It depends on how you do the two phones. If your second phone is discreetly kept in a briefcase, or on your desk or similar and then taken out when used, you should be fine.

Be careful with call forwarding. For certain plans, you will be charged $0.10/min or more for forwarding, plus the use of minutes. Check with your carrier. You are sometimes better off to have a landline that forwards to your cell. I do this at work all the time, and SBC used to offer this free with certain phone and data bundles.

Only not lame if you are a secret agent or undercover like Tony Leung/Andy Lau/Leonardo DiCaprio.

It is then epic win.

I carry a cell phone (personal) and a blackberry (work). I don't know if it makes me lame or not, but it is necessary.

I used to do the personal (Nokia 6682) and work (Blackberry 7100), but it was annoying having two phones, and I liked the idea of work paying for my data and voice, so I consolidated down to one phone (Blackberry Pearl).

My main requirements have always been: something I can slip in my pocket, something I can easily access email, maps, and the internet on the go, and something that looks good. I can't stand the look of the generic, utilitarian flip phone that seems to have spread across 95% of the country. If you go abroad, you'll notice most people have much better looking phones.

I have two. One for leisure, one for work. The trend seems heading towards dual identity.

Also, I use the belt clip thing for my blackberry - even if it's lame. The reason is because the case that it clips into has some kind of magnetic mechanism in it that extends the life of the battery. Putting it in my pocket with the clip is just too chunky so I keep it on my belt.

I know many many people who regularly have 2+ cell-phones/BBs on them. One is personal the other is work. Simple as that. They don't give out their personal #s to work colleagues.

No biggie in my book, if warranted.

Carrying two or more phones arising out of a necessity is not lame as long as they are carried discretely. IMO regardless of the reason the "technocrat web-belt" is just tacky.

In some lines of work, cameras are restricted, and I've known people who were essentially required to have cell phones without cameras.

Ya, this is becoming more and more common. In the past 6 months, I've had 2 of 3 clients I visited require my cell phone not have a camera.

Me or my girlfriend have never had a problem. It is the best quality sound, longest battery life and tied for most durable so far. I've had Nokia and Seimens in the past and Seimens was a close second for an old skool candy bar phone. Nokia was crap and I was surprised since they were the people to beat back when I worked for Motorola. To each their own. I like my RAZR just fine.
