Lowlights in guys' hair

ITT, discuss lowlights in guys' hair, specifically black lowlights in dark brown hair.

It makes it look a bit dirty, if you know what I mean. If anything, first experiment with temp dark brown color, and if it isnt too out of place, then try black. That said, I haven't seen anyone pull this off, and I doubt I ever will.

I've always wanted to have something like that done to my hair. I don't like highlights but it would be nice to have more color to my hair. I'm interested to know what people will say about this.

I've flirted with the idea of getting some sort of low-lights , but I've always been too scared to try it. Also, I'm afraid my hair is too light of a brown.....

What turned me onto it in the first place was I saw a pic of a guy (think he had black hair though) that had bits of a REALLY dark purple throughout his hair. Sounds wacky but it was actually very subtle and not attention-grabbing (ie. nothing like the neon purple and blue haired ugliness you usually see) at all. It took me a long time before I even figured out that it was colored. I just thought it looked 'different' at first. Then I saw the purple when I investigated more closely.

Oh please. I know tons of guys who have dye in their hair. It's not uncommon at all.

Iv only seen this with women and think it can look pretty attractive as long it's dark. I know what you mean by something looking "different" but not realizing what it is at first. I think it's a very nice effect to have.
