AC Alessandro Cantarelli?

Yes, AC line started 2011AW and theyre a bit more casual than other cantarelli lines. their jacket cost about half of the jersey planet jacket.

so what is the general consensus? I saw a really nice looking flannel overcoat at Yoox for about $400, looks very sharp. Am tempted.

No, AC, Alessandro Cantarelli is not a diffusion to the sartorial collection.  Alessandro is the 2nd generation to run the family business, AC is meant to introduce his family's jacket making expertise to a new generation of guys who are ready for a really well made jacket but with a more casual, modern attitude.   The Cantarellis also develop suits and jackets for some of the biggest names in fashion, but they keep this list quiet.  One can only be humble when when one is at the top of the game.
