Looking for a Donegal Tweed Suit

Thread Starter

I am looking for a nice brown or dark brown donegal tweed suit in a 42R and around 34Waist pant! Anyone got anything?

Not the sort of thing ones sees anymore even in trad shops.
I would contact the Andover Shop in Cambridge, MA and
or O'Connells in Buffalo NY to see if they stock such suits.
My guess is that both would do MTM in that fabric as I am
sure would Winston Tailors ( Chipp) in New York ( no
website)

Bookster is your friend. Consider the P&H Thornproof. It is utterly brilliant fabric

I thought someone would mention them.
For me they are a purveyor of stiff , heavy,
very built-up shouldered British "Country Wear"
More than likely, they have the Donegal suitings,
but their house style, as seen in their WebSite,
is the antithesis of what I would want to wear.

The WBill Donegal book has every kind of Donegal you could think of and about 10 different shades of brown.

Have you tried Magee? They still weave in Donegal although the garments are made up abroad.  They would do the vast majority of RTW Donegal suitings.  Beware Porter & Harding is not a Donegal.

epaulet could probably make you one. they have tons of donegal trousers, they could make you a jacket in the same fabric.
