What did you order and why the few details? Please share your experience. Pics?

Update: Shoes left customs in SF and are making their way down to LA. If I get them tomorrow, I'll try to post a thorough review.

Thanks for the pictures and review. I had a feeling they might look cheap. Sometimes photos don't accurately depict reality. I actually purchased Chevalier long wing brogues, and they seemed to look and feel cheap in person. Now they're using Horween Chromexcel for their shoes, so I guess I lucked out.

I think it only looks cheap depending on the leather you chose. I'm sure the calfskin or waxy pullup doesn't look as bad

can't tell if kliqe made a comma error, or if he really means only the insole looks cheap?

my shoes are coming here to NY, so I imagine I'll get them a couple days after you Coventum

Maybe you'll get them on Monday. I got mine today. I'll do my best to make a review as quickly as possible. I might go out today, so I'm not sure if my review will go up tonight.

The insole is not visible in the photos.

No, what you see there is the "sock" (sockliner)--a thin and separate piece of leather that is cemented on top of the insole to protect the sock and foot from nails and rust stains.

If you noticed, he's edited his original post. So it was written differently before you probably read it.

Sorry guys, but my review will be up late. I've been busy this weekend. I'll work on some pics tonight and I'll probably post my review tomorrow.

Did either of you have to pay customs and duties? Also the 'international price' on their site includes shipping yes?
