I need a ruling on my violation.

I am not buying anything until next July. With the exception of the linen suit I am having made, but that's already in the works. And I still have a few things waiting for me in the UK when I head over in December that I already bought. But they don't count.

Camp 2 for me as well. I needed some fresh denim.

Out. Saw some AE factory seconds, Park Ave oxblood, that were too good to pass up.

I'm sorry. :(

Have I violated the spirit of the no purchase club? Am I out?

As fas as I am concerned, you did not violate da rulz even though your intention was not as noble as you would have prefered. nod[1].gif

Alright, lets try again........we are LOCKED DOWN. No spending. Any weaknesses must be reported. Good luck all.

no spending on clothing, but i have found that i have spent the same, if not more on other goods such as bookshelves, paintings and other type things... methinks i have a different issue...

I wound up not buying the undershirts. Rifled through my closet and decided I can make do with white (instead of heather grey) for a month. I'm still in this, baby!

Donated around 400 dollars (their used value, not purchase value) worth of clothes today, definitely much more than I paid for the AE's.

I may not be seeing this club thing through, but it's already stopped me from making a number of purchases, which, I think, is its ultimate intent. I will do what I can to keep those shoes the last thing I purchase at least until the end of the month with the clothes donation set against the violation.

I'm posting a day late but I'm still joining camp 2 for the challenge.

I just donated 2 Aquascutum raincoats; one clay and one navy, several Hugo Boss Black label sport jackets and 6 pair of pants. All clean and mint condition. Someone is going to have a good thrift find. Now going through my shoes to prepare more donations. The shoes will be donated to several different thrift stores on different days because I don't want any one person to be able to buy it all in one shot. Locations will not be divulged.

In theory...what if I donated money to a charity of your choice, and you gave me some clothes? I could donate more than what they'd thrift the clothes for...and technically I wouldn't be buying anything.... .... .... .... ....

.... .... .... .... yeah, probably not.

But just out of curiosity, what size were those HB jackets (fused or not, I still like HB).

Hi Clag. Jackets were 43R. Shoes were 9(UK) 10.5D or 11(44EU) depending on manufacturer. Jackets fused or not I can't remember. It was stuff I wasn't wearing for a few years so just tossed them into a bag after quickly checking pockets. I may put some stuff on the B&S one day soon but still undecided. I still have plenty more HB but too many to list. Some are Loro PIana, others are not.

1/3 of the way there and still going strong.

But I spent a few grand last month, and those orders are still arriving via mail - so really I'm tweaking off last month's high. smile.gif
