They hold up fantastically well. I haven't had any problems with holes or wearing thin (make sure to keep your toe nails trimmed!) They are like a second skin and very comfortable. I have found that the OTC cotton and wool stay up all day without needing to be adjusted. The only problem for some could be that the cotton is quite thin. Not thin enough for your shoes to feel lose though...

how good of a deal on wool OTC? I tried a pair from Skoak and I enjoy them

Just walked two penny size holes into the heel of one of the wool/nylon mix sozzi calze sock. On my feet all day, but that hasn't happened before that quick
