OTC socks: once you try them no going back? - Page 3

The friction between the socks and pants causes them to "stick" or "catch" such as when standing up after sitting. The pant legs won't fall down right away. Ever see a dude shake his leg after standing? It's not always because his balls are stuck to his thigh.

If "OTC" stands for "Over The Counter," then I agree. I buy my socks "OTC" from Weinberg's discount hosiery, and after I'd seen those rock-bottom prices, there was no going back.

Yup, OTC for dress, MC for casual. Not going back if I can help it.

Not sure if kidding or not. But just in case.

OTC: Over the Calf

MC: Mid Calf

I don't like the OTC but a problem with mid calf is that most are an 1" or so too short so you have to pay attention to that when buying them.

Yep I picked up 9 Pantherella socks, though two are MC (before I realized I prefer OTC).

I have found Goldtoe socks to be my socks of choice too. I've never found them for $1:00 though but I actually don't mind paying extra for these OTC socks.  Tried the "Carlisle" style in the Goldtoe Premium line but they are very hard to find.  Guys...try them if you find them....you'll like them.  If you don't...don't worry, I'll buy them from you.

Just bought my first pair of gold toe OTC and I don't think I'll be buying any other style (apart from thicker wool boot socks.)

Going rate on amazon seems about $7 per pair, which I think is very reasonable.

I'll check it out....cheers

I wore them regularly as a child, but when growing up I started to hate them and didn't wear them anymore...
Only a few years back I started adding them again into my sock wardrobe..
Now I wear both

OTC is the italian standard. I'm pretty sure I've never seen MC socks here.

I wish that were the case here.   Canadian standard seems to be mid-calf.

I am on the verge to make an order at Sozzi, too. How have they been after a year?
